Join us for our first annual charity food beer and wine tasting show, “Taste of the Town” which will be held at the Downtown Market in Ocala, Florida, on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 5-8 PM.

A fun-filled night of delicious food and giving back to the community. Sample dishes from the best local restaurants while supporting a worthy organization. This in-person event is a great opportunity to connect with friends, enjoy wonderful food and drinks, and make a difference with affordable healthcare in the West Ocala area.

Annual Charity Golf Tournament

The Estella Byrd Whitman Wellness Center will host their annual charity golf tournament March 30 at the Ocala Golf Club, located at 3130 E. Silver Springs Blvd. The tournament, scheduled to start at 8am, includes 18 holes of golf, continental breakfast, lunch and an awards ceremony.

Promoting a healthy lifestyle, the Estella Byrd Whitman Wellness and Resource Center offers affordable health care and health education to West Ocala and surrounding communities. Established in 2018, the nonprofit provides physicals and wellness exams, diabetes classes and other wellness services to low-income residents without regard to insurance status.

In 2020, Carolyn Adams, CEO, and Dr. Pamela Lewin, medical director, were recognized for outstanding and extraordinary contributions to the community. Carolyn expressed her gratitude on Facebook for the tremendous outpouring of community support.
