Food Service Worker Job Details

Various Schedules | Day and Mid day shifts| $19-$20/hr

• Overtime possible based on business needs

Food Service Worker Requirements

• Ability to safely assist with food and meal preparation
• Knowledge of basic food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices
• Ability to accurately handle cash transactions and maintain cash receipts
• Basic math and counting skills
• Ability to maintain accurate meal and production records
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow food safety procedures and work instructions
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food service environment
• Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Previous food service, kitchen, cafeteria, cashier, or customer service experience preferred

About the Food Service Worker Role

As a Food Service Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with daily food and meal preparation
• Preparing and serving food according to established quality standards
• Supporting the Food Service Manager with daily kitchen and meal operations
• Maintaining accurate cash receipts and processing transactions as assigned
• Recording meal counts and maintaining required meal documentation
• Assisting management with the completion of daily reports
• Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
• Following proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures
• Cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas, equipment, and workstations
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and service environment
• Supporting efficient meal service during busy periods
• Following all workplace and kitchen safety procedures
• Providing friendly and professional service to customers and guests
• Performing additional food service and kitchen duties as assigned
