About the Role:

The Sales Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless and positive shopping experience for customers by providing attentive and knowledgeable service. This position is responsible for managing sales transactions accurately, maintaining product displays, and assisting customers with inquiries and product selections. The Sales Clerk contributes to the overall success of the retail environment by supporting inventory management and ensuring the sales floor is organized and welcoming. Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and stocking.
• Prior experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
• Familiarity with the products sold in the store or retail industry knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products and making purchasing decisions.
• Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash, credit, or other payment methods.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, including restocking shelves and arranging merchandise displays.
• Answer customer questions regarding products, pricing, and store policies in a professional and courteous manner.
• Support inventory control by receiving shipments, checking stock levels, and reporting discrepancies to management.
